What you'll do

  • Own preparation, review, and filing of SEC filings including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and S-1.
  • Build and drive quarterly and annual reporting calendars and coordinate cross-functional inputs.
  • Lead the earnings release process, including management reporting packages and review of financial information.
  • Own disclosure checklist and XBRL review process.
  • Improve SEC reporting through automation and standardization.
  • Prepare or review journal entries, reconciliations, equity rollforwards, EPS calculations, and PBC schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Research technical accounting issues and lead implementation of new accounting pronouncements affecting disclosures.
  • Maintain SOX requirements and support internal and external reporting packages.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects such as process improvements, new disclosure requirements, and M&A reporting.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA licensure or active pursuit of licensure is preferred.
  • Experience owning SEC reporting deliverables, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, in a public company or public accounting environment serving public company clients.
  • Record of improving disclosures and reporting processes, not only executing existing processes.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to own a calendar, drive accountability, and manage competing deadlines independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to research and interpret complex accounting guidance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with Legal, FP&A, Investor Relations, and business partners.
