In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Partner with product designers and the creative team to bring our product to life at our bi-annual Wealthsimple Presents live events, building and refining prototypes that bring product moments to life on stage, and translating product UI into more stylized storytelling assets where the moment calls for it
• Own design for our Product Marketing surfaces including: What's New (in-app), The Report, and Social Wrapped (spotlighting top shipped products/features)
• Create launch and feature visuals for major releases and manage our app store presence.
• Produce animations, static assets, and video (including talking-head-over-product style content) that explain features and educate clients
• Serve as the brand and marketing team’s go-to resource for everything product design related.
• Build and maintain a library of UI assets and product demos that marketing and influencer partners can pull from
• Partner closely with the team who owns the marketing website to product UI elements for product detail pages, making sure the product we’re selling is elevated and showcased at its best

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has 6+ years of experience in a design role that spans product and marketing
• Portfolio that includes examples of motion design, marketing design, brand design, or product design with strong production chops
• Is strong at productionizing and can take existing product UI, brand direction, or campaign concepts and turning them into polished, launch-ready assets quickly, rather than originating core product or brand design from scratch
• Build and maintain AI-powered workflows to create scalable, repeatable asset production processes.
• Has hands-on motion and video skills as a core, daily-use part of their craft. Comfortable in After Effects and Premiere (or equivalent), producing everything from lightweight UI animations to more produced explainer/talking-head content
• Is fluent in product design tools (Figma)
• Can move fluidly between product, marketing, and creative, understanding the priorities, constraints, and voice of each without needing much translation
• Has a track record of shipping high-quality, on-brand work fast and independently, managing multiple concurrent requests from different stakeholders (product marketing, growth, brand, dotcom)
• Has sharp taste and an eye for polish, but treats that taste as being in service of clarity and reusability, not personal authorship
• Is a clear, proactive communicator who is comfortable managing intake from multiple teams and setting expectations on scope and timelines

Nice to have:

• Experience building or maintaining a shared asset/component library for cross-team reuse
• Experience working with financial services or other regulated-industry marketing content
• Familiarity with social-first video formats and platforms
