What you'll do

  • Assist in managing the full guest experience lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final billing and invoicing.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Student Life Events and Conferences leadership team, student assistants, and other office staff.
  • Help lead planning and execution of Summer Conference and Intern Housing experiences.
  • Collaborate with campus partners including Student Life Facilities and Dining Services.
  • Support planning, logistics, and financial processes for summer guests.
  • Utilize office software (EMS, StarRez, Qualtrics, Outlook/Teams, DocuSign) to streamline operations.
  • Creation of comprehensive training materials for suboordinate managers (Student Assistant 1's and Student Assistant 2's)
  • Creation and updating of comprehensive training materials for Student Assistants

What they require

  • Non-OSU Student.
  • Minimum 1.5 years of leadership experience
  • Completion of at least one full season with Events and Conferences.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Familiarity with OSU employee conduct procedures.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • High attention to detail and proactive work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and customer service platforms.
  • Availability to work 30–38 hours/week during summer and 3–15 hours/week during the academic year.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and weekdays as needed.
  • Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
  • A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
