What you'll do

  • Own the accounting backbone of the Munich Electrification Group.
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for monthly and quarterly close.
  • Prepare annual financial statements for all entities of the ME Group.
  • Manage tax matters together with the Head of Finance.
  • Act as key partner to auditors and tax advisors.
  • Keep numbers accurate, timely and ready for management, shareholders and financing partners as the company grows internationally.
  • Run monthly and quarterly close and consolidation for all ME Group entities.
  • Lead the move from quarterly to monthly consolidation.
  • Prepare annual financial statements under German GAAP/HGB for all ME Group companies.
  • Steer the year-end audit.
  • Ensure tax compliance across the ME Group together with tax advisors and the Head of Finance.
  • Handle VAT registrations and ongoing VAT filings in several European countries as the company expands internationally.
  • Handle income-tax group matters.
  • Manage corporate income tax, trade tax and transfer-pricing basics.
  • Coordinate external tax advisors.
  • Act as the go-to contact for tax questions across the company.
  • Deliver actuals for group and bank reporting.
  • Support complex accounting topics.
  • Help integrate accounting into the finance toolchain, including SAP and connected systems.
  • Use AI and automation to make the close faster and more reliable.
  • Be the key contact for auditors, tax advisors and intercompany topics across the group.

What they require

  • Degree in business administration, accounting or finance.
  • Preferred: tax advisor (Steuerberater) or CPA (Wirtschaftsprüfer) qualification.
  • At least 8 years experience in the relevant fields, ideally in a group, audit or tax environment.
  • Solid German GAAP (HGB) and German tax law knowledge.
  • Confident month-end close and consolidation experience.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • ERP experience.
  • Good working knowledge of German tax law.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with VAT registration and indirect-tax compliance across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Hands-on, structured and reliable mindset.
  • Enthusiasm for using AI and automation to improve finance work.
  • Ability to explain financial topics clearly to non-finance colleagues.
