Key Account Manager, Precision Grinding

Mirka Ltd, a world leader in surface finishing technology which offers a broad range of groundbreaking sanding solutions for the surface finishing, precision industry and Surface finishing automation solutions.

We are seeking for a Key Account Manager to develop and expand our activities in the Hungarian industrial market. This position plays a key role in driving Precision Grinding sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across Hungary.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong commercial acumen, a hunter mindset, and the ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively with technical and sales teams. Experienced in bonded and / or superabrasive products applications and with experience of handling Industrial Key accounts within Industrial sector.

Key Account Manager must understand business needs, stay updated on industry trends, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that market requirements are fully grasped and execution plans align with expectations. Technical Sales Manager identifies and prioritizes opportunities that support Mirka’s goals, helping to shape the company’s strategic direction.

In practice Key Account Manager has capabilities and drive to identify and hunt new Industrial customers and business opportunities in complex focus applications. Collaboration with other Mirka organisations is crucial to succeed in the role.

Role is regional/global, requiring frequent traveling and good language skills.

Main Responsibilities

Develop and implement a strategic sales and account management plan for the Hungarian Precision grinding market.

Identify, approach, and secure new customers within the industrial sector.

Manage and grow relationships with existing key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Collaborate with internal technical and product specialists to deliver value-added solutions tailored to client needs.

Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive developments.

Monitor performance against defined targets and provide regular reporting on market activities and pipeline development.

Skills and experience

At least 5 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development within an industrial environment.

Proven ability to generate new business and manage strategic accounts.

Strong experience in bonded abrasives, and / or superabrasives.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

English is essential; knowledge of other European languages is appreciated.

Based in Hungary, with frequent travel required.
