What you'll do

  • Advising on Israeli law
  • Preparing Israeli legal opinions
  • Identifying Israeli-law implications arising from cross-border matters
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts governed by Israeli law
  • Corporate and commercial matters
  • Company and investment matters
  • Civil and commercial disputes
  • Litigation and dispute resolution
  • Recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments
  • Arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
  • Property and real estate matters
  • Immigration and residency matters
  • Inheritance and succession matters
  • Family and private client matters involving Greece and Israel
  • Banking and regulatory matters
  • Dealings with Israeli public authorities, registries and institutions
  • Representation before Israeli courts, tribunals or authorities where professionally appropriate
  • Negotiations with Israeli counterparties
  • Conducting Israeli legal research
  • Preparing Israeli-law memoranda and procedural documentation
  • Cooperating with Greek and other international counsel on multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Undertake the Israeli-law components of cross-border matters handled by Mr. Oikonomakis and the Firm
  • Retain complete professional control and responsibility for the Israeli-law component of any matter entrusted to them
  • Coordinate efficiently with international counsel

What they require

  • Be fully admitted to practice law in Israel
  • Be current members of the Israel Bar Association
  • Be legally authorized to practice Israeli law
  • Be in good professional standing
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification legal experience
  • Maintain the professional arrangements and insurance appropriate to their practice
  • Be based in Tel Aviv or otherwise able to provide effective legal services throughout Israel
  • Possess excellent legal drafting, research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle matters independently
  • Have strong professional judgment and client-management abilities
  • Have excellent written and spoken Hebrew
  • Have excellent written and spoken English
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, professional ethics and responsiveness
