Investment Banking Associate – M&A, Valuation & Financial Modeling Full-Time | Remote | U.S. Business Hours About the Role At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an experienced Investment Banking Associate to support live M&A transactions, capital raises, valuations, and strategic advisory engagements . This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone with strong financial modeling skills and experience working in fast-paced transaction environments. You’ll work closely with senior bankers, analysts, clients, attorneys, and advisors to move deals from analysis through execution. What You’ll Own Financial Modeling & Valuation Build and maintain DCF, LBO, merger, and operating models Perform comparable company and precedent transaction analysis Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis Evaluate valuation assumptions, transaction structures, and financing impacts M&A & Deal Execution Support buy-side, sell-side, capital raise, and strategic advisory engagements Coordinate due diligence requests, timelines, and deliverables Manage virtual data rooms and transaction trackers Coordinate with clients, lawyers, accountants, and other advisors Pitch Books & Transaction Materials Prepare and refine: Pitch books Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs) Teasers Management presentations Investor materials Translate complex financial analysis into polished, executive-ready presentations Research & Analysis Conduct industry, company, market, and transaction research Analyze competitive positioning and market trends Incorporate findings into valuations, presentations, and strategic recommendations Team & Quality Control Review analyst work for accuracy and financial integrity Support VPs and Managing Directors on live transactions and client meetings Maintain strong version control and transaction documentation Mentor junior analysts where required What We’re Looking For 2–4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Transaction Advisory, or Corporate Finance Advanced Excel financial modeling skills Strong PowerPoint and presentation capabilities Hands-on knowledge of: DCF valuation LBO modeling Comparable company analysis Precedent transactions Scenario and sensitivity analysis Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, or PitchBook Strong attention to detail and deadline management Ability to manage multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously Excellent written and verbal English communication Availability during U.S. business hours Nice to Have MBA, CFA, or CPA Buy-side and/or sell-side M&A experience Capital raising experience Technology, healthcare, financial services, or real estate transaction exposure Experience reviewing or mentoring analyst-level work What Success Looks Like Accurate, reliable financial models and valuations High-quality transaction and client materials delivered on time Well-organized due diligence and deal processes Strong execution across multiple live transactions Positive feedback from clients and senior bankers Consistently high attention to detail under tight deadlines Why Join? What they require
