Investment Analyst

Arrington Capital is expanding its research team and hiring a full time Investment Analyst. We are looking for a deep thinker with a contrarian bent. As an analyst at Arrington Capital, you will work closely with a small team of seasoned technology entrepreneurs and crypto investors, and your research will influence decision making in both primary and secondary markets.

The role is focused on fundamental analysis, including work on novel valuation models, token economics and project-specific due diligence. Analysts at Arrington Capital are always searching for overlooked trade and investment ideas. This work supports the Fund’s barbell strategy between early stage venture and liquid investing. Fundamental analysts support both aspects of this strategy. They support due diligence into early stage deals by analyzing competitive landscapes, deconstructing token models and diving into new technologies. They will also support secondary market opportunities by engaging developer ecosystems and tracking important catalysts. They will identify early narratives in DeFi, NFTs and Web 3.0 and regularly present their trade and investment ideas to the partners.

The role is fast-moving and will be split between ongoing research projects and time-sensitive, on-demand analysis. The Fund is remote-first with coverage across both Asian and US time zones. The team works unconventional and often flexible hours, which we expect from a successful candidate.

The ideal candidate has experience analyzing and investing into crypto in either a professional or personal capacity. They are hungry self-starters and deeply curious about crypto. It’s a strong plus if you can demonstrate a track record or deep technical knowledge, whether it be coding smart contracts, yield farming or publishing insightful content. Compensation includes a salary and discretionary, performance-based annual bonus.

Skills & Qualifications

• University degree (STEM preferred. Economics & business applicable)

• While not necessary, competency in blockchain-based languages (such as Python) will be highly regarded.
