What you'll do

  • Provide Independent Engineering advisory support for DOE Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Program technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities with emphasis on asset integrity programs, inspection planning, risk-based assessment, and regulatory readiness.
  • Review project documentation, evaluate technical and commercial interfaces, identify risks and mitigations, and validate assumptions.
  • Support conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews where applicable and prepare defensible work products including integrity plans, inspection data, anomaly tracking, risk rankings, and compliance evidence.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders to support timely lender and DOE decision-making.
  • Monitor pipeline/facility integrity programs, inspections, corrosion control, mechanical integrity, and compliance risks as part of ongoing oversight.
  • Participate in data room reviews, borrower/contractor interviews, site observations, monthly monitoring meetings, risk register updates, CP evidence reviews, draw package checks, issue closure tracking, and preparation of Independent Engineer reports.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience; demonstrated work on oil and gas, power, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients.
  • Demonstrated experience with asset integrity programs, inspection planning, risk-based assessment, corrosion control, mechanical integrity, and regulatory readiness.
  • Experience performing independent engineering reviews, technical due diligence, report writing, and Excel-based analysis.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and translate technical evidence into actionable risk, compliance, and financing implications.
  • Security clearance is necessary for engagement teams managing sensitive federal work (security clearance is a valuable asset).
  • Willingness/ability to support remote work within the U.S. and attend on-site meetings at project sites nationwide (CONUS).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel), Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and data analytics tools.
