What you'll do

  • Manage task orders, staffing, delivery controls, reporting, and client coordination for Independent Engineering (IE) advisory engagements.
  • Provide IE advisory support for technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities for DOE/LPO Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) projects.
  • Convert discipline-specific engineering, construction, compliance, operating, commercial, and risk findings into lender-ready due diligence, monitoring, certification, and decision-support outputs.
  • Prepare defensible work products including task order plans, meeting cadence, deliverable registers, performance reporting, and issue escalation.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders to support lender and DOE decision-making.
  • Manage day-to-day engagement delivery, COR interface, scope control, status reporting, staffing, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in data room reviews, borrower/contractor interviews, site observations, monthly monitoring meetings, risk register updates, CP evidence reviews, draw package checks, issue closure tracking, and preparation of Independent Engineer reports.

What they require

  • 15+ years of progressive energy infrastructure, engineering advisory, project finance, program management, or independent engineering experience.
  • 5+ years leading multidisciplinary teams, client delivery, and senior stakeholder engagement for federal, lender, or owner-side programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum engineering, mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or related technical field.
  • Experience performing independent engineering review, technical due diligence, risk assessment, construction monitoring, EPC oversight, completion/disbursement certification, and lifecycle monitoring.
  • Experience with DOE Loan Programs Office (LPO)-style documentation, technical due diligence and lender-ready deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical evidence into actionable risk, compliance, and financing implications; strong analytical rigor and attention to detail.
  • Proven stakeholder coordination, report writing, information request tracking, and Excel-based analysis skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for on-site meetings and site observations (CONUS).
  • Ability to obtain or possess required security clearance for federal engagements.
  • Preferred: PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI or other discipline-specific credentials where applicable.
  • Preferred: experience with management and financial consulting, acquisition and grants management support, and business program/project management for energy infrastructure projects.
