What you'll do

  • Serves as the overall Independent Engineering (IE) technical lead and DOE/LPO-facing lead.
  • Provides IE advisory support for the Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) program / independent engineering due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities.
  • Reviews project documentation, evaluates technical and commercial interfaces, identifies risks and mitigations, and validates assumptions.
  • Supports conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews where applicable.
  • Leads IE governance, executive reviews, quality control, staffing strategy, and independent opinions.
  • Coordinates with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project management stakeholders to support timely lender and DOE decision-making.

What they require

  • 15+ years of progressive energy infrastructure, engineering advisory, project finance, construction private, construction niche, construction experience or independent engineering experience
  • 8+ years leading multidisciplinary teams, client delivery, client budget, or senior stakeholder engagement for federal, lender, or owner-side programs
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, petroleum, copyright engineering, hydro, petrochemical, electrical, chemical, civil, environmental, or a related technical field
  • Energy industry (oil, gas, power, utilities) sector experience
  • PE, PMP, CSP, API, NACE/AMPP, PMI, or discipline-specific credentials preferred where applicable
