What you'll do

  • Turn screen recordings and product demos from engineers, consultants, and the product team into polished training videos.
  • Edit video, perform color and audio cleanup, add motion graphics, callouts, captions, and on-screen annotations to a consistently high visual and technical standard.
  • Take raw material and subject-matter input from consultants and the Documentation/Product team and turn it into clear scripts, storyboards, and voiceover copy.
  • Simplify technical concepts without losing accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Documentation team to propose and design the structure of learning paths, modules, and lessons.
  • Define sequencing, learning objectives, and pacing using adult-learning best practices.
  • Hold every lesson to a high standard for video quality, narrative clarity, and learning experience.
  • Publish and maintain lessons in the learning platform/LMS, including quizzes, transcripts, and supporting assets.
  • Keep a content calendar and asset library organized.
  • Work closely with consultants on demo recordings.
  • Work with Product and Documentation teams to keep content accurate as the platform evolves.
  • Gather learner feedback and iterate on existing lessons.
  • Help build Hume Academy training paths, modules, and lessons that make onboarding onto Hume smoother.
  • Showcase the platform's capabilities and quality to prospective and existing customers.
  • Contribute to visual and instructional standards for future Academy content.
  • Help build a repeatable pipeline so new lessons can be produced quickly and consistently.

What they require

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience producing video-based training, e-learning, or educational/marketing video content.
  • Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Camtasia or Descript.
  • Proficiency with screen-recording/demo capture tools such as Camtasia, OBS, or ScreenFlow.
  • Ability to edit, create motion graphics, callouts, and perform audio cleanup.
  • Comfort working primarily with screen-recorded product demos, with no live filming or on-location shooting required.
  • Comfortable driving individual video projects from planning through final delivery while collaborating closely with Product and Documentation teams.
  • Portfolio showing genuinely high-quality video production, strong visual polish, pacing, and narrative clarity, not just functional screen-capture walkthroughs.
  • Demonstrated ability to propose and help design the structure of a learning path, including sequencing modules and lessons, defining learning objectives, and progression.
  • Ability to collaborate with Documentation and Product teams rather than just formatting content someone else has scoped.
  • Familiarity with an LMS or authoring tool such as Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or similar to publish and maintain learning structure.
  • Strong scriptwriting and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to turn dense or technical material into clear, engaging narratives for a professional audience.
  • Comfort learning new technical concepts and software quickly.
  • Genuine curiosity.
  • Proven ability to work closely with subject-matter experts, including consultants and Product/Documentation colleagues.
  • Ability to translate subject-matter input into content without losing accuracy.
  • Comfortable gathering and acting on learner feedback and iterating on content over time.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Preferred: Experience creating training, onboarding, or demo content for an analyst-facing, data analysis, or other on-premises enterprise software platform.
  • Preferred: Basic graphic design skills for thumbnails, diagrams, and slide assets.
  • Preferred: Experience with interactive e-learning standards or building quizzes and assessments.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with law enforcement, intelligence, or public-safety domains specifically.
