What you'll do

  • Manage and operate HLR, HSS, UDR, and UDM nodes across 2G-5G
  • Design and maintain subscriber provisioning workflows
  • Implement and verify MAP, Diameter, and HTTP/2 interfaces
  • Build dashboards to monitor subscriber node KPIs
  • Own incident management for subscriber data domain
  • Perform maintenance, security audits, patching, and emergency response
  • Undertake fault handling and protocol trace analysis
  • Lead project activities: node introduction, capacity expansions, upgrades
  • Support MVNO onboarding
  • Participate in 7x24 on-call rotation
  • Drive automation of provisioning and audit tasks
  • Collaborate with IMS, RAN, and transport teams

What they require

  • 10+ years of core network engineering experience
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on with HLR, HSS, UDR, or UDM platforms
  • BSc in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Deep operational knowledge of HLR platforms (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei)
  • Hands-on experience with HSS and Diameter interfaces (S6a, S6d, Cx, Sh, Zh)
  • Practical experience with 5G UDM/UDR and cloud-native deployments
  • Strong knowledge of SS7 stack (MAP, TCAP, SCCP, MTP)
  • Diameter protocol expertise
  • Familiarity with 3GPP standards (TS 23.008, 29.272, etc.)
  • Understanding of roaming architecture and IR.21
  • Working knowledge of 2G-5G core architectures
  • Comfortable with Linux/Unix
  • Hands-on with Wireshark, tcpdump
  • Experience with high-availability configurations
