What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain embedded avionics software using C/C++ and RTOS.
  • Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and debug with JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Implement and follow DO-178B/C lifecycle processes and requirements-based testing/traceability (DOORS or similar).
  • Apply static-analysis tools (LDRA, Polyspace, Coverity) and MISRA C / secure coding standards.
  • Work on flight control systems (sensors, actuators, control loops) and related real-time/deterministic concerns.

What they require

  • Expert-level C/C++ for embedded, deterministic coding.
  • RTOS experience (VxWorks or INTEGRITY preferred; QNX/RTEMS acceptable).
  • DO-178B/C software lifecycle and certification experience.
  • MISRA C and secure coding standards; ARINC 429 and/or MIL-STD-1553 expertise.
  • ARM or PowerPC architecture experience, JTAG debugging, HIL testing and static analysis tool usage.
