ABOUT THE JOB

Reporting to the Compliance department, the Healthcare Regulatory & Governance Manager supports the organization's healthcare regulatory compliance efforts by evaluating the operational impact of healthcare regulatory, payer, and program requirements and partnering with teams across the organization to ensure compliance expectations are effectively implemented, documented, and maintained.

This role serves as a key resource for day-to-day healthcare regulatory compliance activities, supporting operational teams in interpreting requirements, identifying compliance needs, coordinating implementation activities, and maintaining regulatory readiness. The position also manages the governance and lifecycle management of organizational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and related compliance documentation, ensuring materials are current, standardized, version-controlled, and aligned with operational practices.

The Healthcare Regulatory & Governance Manager plays an important role in supporting organizational growth, including regulatory assessments for new state expansion and coordination of readiness activities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Healthcare Regulatory Compliance Management

• Support the day-to-day management of healthcare regulatory compliance activities across the organization.
• Evaluate the operational impact of healthcare regulatory, payer, and program requirements and translate expectations into actionable compliance activities.
• Partner with Compliance and operational leaders to identify compliance needs, coordinate implementation activities, and support ongoing adherence to regulatory expectations.
• Maintain regulatory compliance tools, documentation, and tracking mechanisms to support visibility into requirements, action items, and organizational readiness.
• Serve as a resource to operational teams on healthcare regulatory processes, documentation expectations, and compliance-related questions.
• Monitor completion of compliance-related action items and escalate outstanding items or risks to appropriate stakeholders.

New State Expansion & Regulatory Readiness

• Support regulatory assessments for new state expansion, including review of state-specific healthcare operational, licensure, payer, and program requirements.
• Partner with cross-department teams to identify readiness needs, gaps, and implementation requirements for new markets.
• Develop and maintain state-specific regulatory readiness documentation, checklists, and implementation resources.
• Support ongoing compliance activities following market launch to help ensure operational alignment with applicable requirements.

Policy, Process & Documentation Governance

• Manage the lifecycle management and governance of organizational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and related compliance documentation.
• Coordinate and lead the development, standardization, review, revision, and maintenance of policies and procedures in partnership with subject matter experts.
• Manage a centralized, version-controlled document repository to ensure documentation is accessible, accurate, current, and appropriately maintained.
• Establish and maintain processes for document review cycles, approvals, version control, and communication of updates.
• Oversee and manage the governance of key organizational lifecycle processes (e.g., contract lifecycle management, vendor/BAA tracking, attestations, delegation agreements) — including intake, review, execution, renewal, and expiration/close-out — to ensure consistent handling and timely action across recurring compliance-relevant processes.
• Partner with operational teams to ensure policies, procedures, workflows, and clinical guidelines accurately reflect current practices.
• Ensure compliance training materials and resources align with current organizational policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation trails across policies, SOPs, contracts, and other governed processes, ensuring materials can be readily produced for internal reviews, audits, or regulatory inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, documentation practices, lifecycle governance, and operational workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as the go-to regulatory and governance resource for Compliance, Clinical Operations, Palliative Care, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), Operations, Product/EMR, and other teams during new program launches, state expansions, system changes, and process redesigns.
• Partner with subject matter experts to ensure regulatory requirements, policies, and governance processes are appropriately built into new initiatives from the outset, rather than retrofitted after launch.
• Provide regulatory and documentation guidance during cross-functional projects, helping teams anticipate compliance requirements early in planning and implementation.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, quality, or a related healthcare operations role.
• Working knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and payer requirements, preferably within home-based care, palliative care, hospice, care management, or a similar healthcare setting.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and driving implementation of regulatory or operational initiatives.
• Experience with healthcare policy management, document control, governance processes, or compliance documentation programs, including familiarity with contract lifecycle management, vendor/BAA tracking, or contract management platforms.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and communicate them clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively across clinical, operational, and corporate teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with document management systems and compliance tracking tools preferred.
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or other relevant certification is preferred but not required.
