***PRIORITY ROLE - Head of Security - ~$350K-$400K base plus equity (Series B) I'm working with a well-funded DeFi/fintech/Web3 company that is on the verge of disrupting an institution that has had virtually no real competition since the 1970s. I can't say more than that publicly — but if you know the world of clearing, settlement, and capital markets, you might be able to guess. Think trading stocks and having them settle instantly. That's why they're hiring now. They need a Head of Security with Web3/Blockchain experience who: → Is still hands-on and wants to stay that way → Has built detection programs and is a true operator → Knows what a real threat model looks like and has real experience with Blockchain technology and the attacks that are unique to these types of companies that build products on-chain. → Can own AppSec/ProdSec, red/blue team, IT Security and insider threat from day one → Thrives in a small, high-ownership environment without needing a large team to operate This role can be fully remote in the US or Canada. Ideally looking for candidates in EST or CST but at this point might be open to other timezones in the US.
