JTL is one of the leading e-commerce platforms in the German-speaking market. Thousands of merchants run their business on our ERP, shop and fulfillment products every day. Our product organization is entering its next chapter: a clear cloud strategy, an ambitious AI agenda, and a growing product team. As Head of Product Operations & Enablement, you build and own the operational foundation this next chapter needs - the goal system, the tooling, and the enablement that makes every product manager better. This is a senior role for a strategic mind who is also a strong executor: hands-on in product, close to the teams, and measured on decision speed and the PM time you free up, not on process adherence.
What you'll do
- You build Product Operations & Enablement as a new function: its mandate, priorities and roadmap for how the product org plans, decides and learns; you start as a team of one, build the systems yourself before you scale them.
- You own the planning and steering system of the product org - from quarterly planning to reviews and portfolio transparency - and design it to be light, fast and decision-oriented, up to C-level.
- You build the goal system from the ground up: KPI and driver trees, outcome-oriented targets, and reporting that makes product progress visible to leadership and the board.
- You establish prioritisation governance together with the VP Product: clear decision rights, consistent frameworks, and one portfolio view across all product areas.
- You raise PM craft across the team: you develop our leveling and job architecture further and establish onboarding, coaching formats and clear standards for what good discovery and delivery work looks like.
- You set up the product tooling and data stack (roadmapping, analytics, insights) and scale AI-enabled ways of working across the whole product org.
- You work closely with Engineering, Marketing & GTM - making sure product plans, launches and go-to-market pull in the same direction. • 8+ years in product management and/or product operations in B2B SaaS or complex product environments, several of them at or close to leadership level. You have seen from the inside what a well-run product org looks like.
- You have built or substantially professionalised a product operations function - portfolio steering, goal systems, team enablement - and can show what measurably changed as a result.
- PM craft credibility: you have worked as a product manager yourself or coached PMs hands-on, and you set standards that PMs respect.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder skills up to C-level: you turn planning and reviews into decision forums, not ceremonies.
- Data literacy: you think in KPIs and driver trees, are comfortable with product analytics, and build reporting that people actually use.
- You use AI as a natural part of your own work and have concrete experience embedding AI into PM workflows (drafting, synthesis, analysis) - scaling this across the org is a core part of the role.
- A good working knowledge of German is a strong plus.
What you'll find You build and shape a new function with leverage across the entire product organization - in a profitable, growing company with an ambitious growth agenda.
