No BS summary

Senior marketplace/e-commerce supply leader with 8+ years of progressive experience and 3–5 years owning the full supply side of a major e-commerce, B2B marketplace, or high-growth fintech platform. Must know merchant acquisition, account management, operations, category/brand strategy, pricing, quality metrics, P&L, and scaling seller bases in LatAm.

What you'll do

  • Build Addi's growth engine on both sides of GMV. Grow Active Sellers 150%+ and the Published base 2x, while shifting the mix deeper into strategic categories and away from top-25 dependency — growth that compounds, not just adds up.
  • Win on value and trust. Get pricing and quality on high-impact listings to beat MeLi and Falabella head-on, and cut merchant-driven order issues 30% across 80K+ monthly orders — make the experience the reason customers repurchase.
  • Turn supply into a commercial asset. Own the commercial calendar against demand peaks, convert programs like Fulfilled by Addi into direct revenue, and give the base self-service tooling so it scales without scaling headcount.
  • Close the selection gap upstream of demand. Move brand coverage and category productivity from where they are today to where a best-in-class marketplace needs to be — the constraint isn't demand, it's what's on the shelf.

What they require

  • Runs Selection as a System (distinctive for this role)
  • Has operated a marketplace selection function through an explicit cause-to-effect model (breadth, then price and stock and fit, then quality), managing the causal levels rather than reporting the outputs.
  • Builds and runs a decision-grade governance cadence (a daily input pulse, a weekly review, a monthly decision instance on inputs not outputs), holding the line that no build ships without a named commercial owner and a committed action.
  • Prices acquisition by merchant maturity value and mix (not publication counts) and manages concentration as a health metric.
  • Category and Brand Strategy
  • Built a data-driven category prioritization and brand-tiering method (crossing market size, search and demand signal, internal performance, and momentum) and executed hunt-and-farm plans against it.
  • Reads a category by productivity (GMV per seller, listings per seller) and activates existing catalogue instead of over-publishing.
  • Proven Senior Leadership and ownership in Marketplace/E-commerce Operations
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive professional experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role owning the full supply side of a major E-commerce, B2B Marketplace, or high-growth Fintech platform
  • Demonstrated success in leading and professionalizing multi-disciplinary teams including acquisition, account management, and operations (matching the size and scope of the current team).
  • Track Record of Scaling a High-Quality Merchant Base
  • Possesses proven experience in scaling a merchant or partner base from a similar size (1,600+ sellers) to significantly higher volumes while protecting/improving quality and trust metrics (e.g., Repurchase Rate).
  • History of successfully implementing data-driven seller scoring or policy enforcement programs that demonstrably improved selection and pricing competitiveness (e.g., hitting targets like % of PB products with Pricing in Green Range).
  • Proven Track Record in Commercial Strategy & P&L Ownership
  • Designs and implements advanced pricing and policy mechanisms (e.g., re-structuring merchant pricing per category) that directly optimize Marketplace unit economics.
  • Successfully translates the supply base into a commercial asset, driving profitable outcomes like the execution and monetization of the Seasonal Merchandising Merchant GTM.
  • Takes financial accountability for supply-side performance, ensuring profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
  • Demonstrates Data-Driven Leadership and Accountability
  • Expertly utilizes complex data (Quality, Pricing, Repurchase Rate) to diagnose root causes, prioritize actions, and continuously upgrade merchant selection and performance.
  • Establishes and governs key measurement systems, such as the Product Bible, using metrics to strategically pivot the Merchant Acquisition and Success teams.
  • Holds teams accountable for quantifiable quality metrics like the % Product Quality Tickets and Repurchase Rate.
  • Possesses Strong Platform-Centric Product Thinking
  • Acts as a strategic partner to Product and Engineering, effectively translating merchant operational needs into the roadmap for tools like the Seller Portal revamp.
  • Deeply understands how infrastructure investments, such as the Vtex-mirroring Catalog Infrastructure and LLM-based enrichment, drive scalability and improve the end-customer experience.
  • Ensures that tooling initiatives focus on maximizing seller self-service and data visibility.
  • Has Solid Expertise in Execution Speed and Agile Prioritization
  • Excels at mobilizing and managing multi-disciplinary teams (Acquisition, Success, Engineering Squad) to rapidly deliver high-impact, complex initiatives (e.g., Catalog Build, Pricing Re-structure).
  • Maintains a strong bias for action and an iterative, agile mindset necessary to launch and professionalize programs like the Fulfilled by Addi GTM quickly.
  • Successfully manages competing priorities across the 7+ Key Initiatives, consistently hitting major deadlines.
  • Experienced in Talent Architecture and Professionalization
  • Rapidly scales and professionalizes the Merchant Success and Acquisition teams by establishing clear standards, playbooks, and continuous coaching structures.
  • Defines clear roles, KPIs, and training to enable the Merchant Success team to effectively manage high volume (80K+ monthly orders) and improve metrics like % of Orders with end-to-end visibility.
  • Fosters a high-performance, results-driven culture of autonomy and ownership within the team.
