Skeleton Technologies is looking for a hands-on Head of Finance to build and own the financial backbone of a company heading for a US listing. As Head of Finance, you will own the reporting and accounting engine that has to carry this group through growth, a new US entity, and IPO readiness. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will lead a team, and you will also be in the numbers yourself. How you can help us on the journey: Own group reporting under IFRS across our German, Finnish and Estonian entities, including the accounting judgement a hardware manufacturer actually needs: revenue recognition on multi-year module contracts with delivery, commissioning and service elements, R&D capitalisation, inventory and standard costing across two factories Deliver German statutory accounts under HGB and the reconciliation to group IFRS, and build towards US GAAP comparability as we scale into the US Own multi-entity consolidation and the monthly close Develop and maintain financial controls, risk management and compliance, and build the control environment that will stand up to public-market scrutiny Drive cash: forecasting, working capital, and hands-on collection together with our Sales team Manage audits, the accounting for our grant funding, and relationships with banks, auditors and third-party service providers Build, lead and develop a finance team globally as the company scales Report financial results and insights to the CFO and leadership team Requirements Are you the one we are looking for? Senior finance leadership experience (Head of Finance, Finance Director, Head of Accounting, CFO of a smaller entity, or similar) Strong, practical IFRS knowledge in a production or hardware context - you can talk through revenue recognition on a long-term equipment contract or an R&D capitalisation decision HGB statutory experience Multi-entity consolidation and month-end close that you have personally owned, not coordinated Solid knowledge of financial controls, risk management, compliance and external audit Background in production, manufacturing or industrial environments preferred US GAAP, SOX or IPO readiness experience a plus Experience setting up entities in new jurisdictions a plus Experience with EU or grant-funded projects a plus German language a plus Pragmatic, hands-on, and genuinely comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling environment Why should you join? Personal growth is guaranteed. You get to work in an international company that is tackling challenges from scale up of new factories, to development of new technologies, and sales to worldwide customers. Skeleton has a clear purpose - we fight climate change by providing short duration energy storage technology. Benefits We offer flexible working hours, with the possibility of mobile working without core working hours and sufficient freedom for your own ideas. About Skeleton Skeleton Technologies is a global leader in critical power infrastructure for AI data centers and electrical grid stability, founded in 2009. Power today is more than electricity. It is national security, digital continuity, and economic resilience. Skeleton is the Backbone of Power: equipping AI data centers, electrical grids, defense systems, and critical infrastructure with the resilience to withstand surges, instability, and failure. Our power systems protect GPU clusters from millisecond-level spikes, enable hyperscalers to run at higher rack densities without grid compromise, and make AI data centers up to 40% more energy efficient. We keep the lights on when grids fluctuate, stabilizing electrical infrastructure under the combined pressure of accelerating renewable energy deployment and surging AI demand.
