What you'll do

  • Own Customer Success, Technical Support, and Professional Services for everything after deal close: onboarding, training, adoption, support, implementation, paid services delivery, renewals, and expansion.
  • Lead and manage a team of seven (two Customer Success Managers as direct reports plus a five-person Support and Professional Services team).
  • Hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development across all three functions.
  • Carry a personal book of business (smaller than a typical CSM load) and own onboarding, adoption, renewal, and expansion for that book.
  • Own net revenue retention and gross retention metrics and run churn-prevention strategies driven by engagement and product-usage health signals.
  • Run the day-to-day post-sale engine including a tiered technical support operation, implementation and training practice, and a renewal pipeline serving public- and private-sector customers.
  • Manage a renewal pipeline end-to-end in HubSpot from closed-won handoff through onboarding, growth, renewal quoting, and invoicing.
  • Operate a tiered support organization: Tier 1 general support, Tier 2 technical support (database configuration, data cleaning and migration, GIS tooling), Tier 3 expert support alongside Engineering, and Tier 0 self-service via knowledge base and AI assistant.
  • Measure and drive operational metrics: throughput, SLAs, backlog, CSAT across Zendesk and HubSpot ticket pipelines, and intake-to-delivery flow for configuration/implementation tickets.
  • Run bug triage and handoff to Engineering: reproduction, prioritization, and closing the loop with customers.
  • Build and run an implementation and training practice: application setup/configuration, customer training delivery, data migrations/uploads, and a catalog of paid technical services.
  • Scope, quote, manage delivery timelines and utilization for billable work, and coordinate into invoicing.
  • Design and maintain team operating cadence (daily standups, weekly task planning) and capacity planning.
  • Set post-sale strategy at the leadership table and represent the function in company operating cadence.
  • Develop and execute an AI roadmap for the post-sale operation, audit recurring processes for automation opportunities, and build AI-assisted SOPs and agentic workflows into production.
  • Raise AI fluency of the team through training, standards, and enablement.
  • Measure AI/automation impact (hours returned, tickets deflected, cycle-time reduction, capacity gains) and report alongside retention/support KPIs.
  • Create and report a post-sale KPI scorecard (retention, CSAT, resolution velocity, onboarding time-to-value, services utilization) into leadership cadence.

What they require

  • 5+ years in post-sale leadership at a B2B SaaS company, including experience managing multiple functions or managers (CS + support and/or services).
  • Proven people management: you have hired, coached, performance-managed, and retained teams, including managing managers.
  • You have owned a renewal or NRR number and can discuss how you moved it.
  • Experience running a technical support operation (tiers, SLAs, queues, escalation paths), not just account management.
  • Services delivery experience: scoping, utilization, and margin on billable implementation or training work.
  • Systems fluency with a modern CRM (HubSpot strongly preferred) and a ticketing platform (Zendesk or similar); comfortable working in pipeline and queue data.
  • Player-coach temperament: build systems and process and be willing to own accounts and work tickets at small-company scale.
  • AI builder mindset: experience designing and shipping workflows or automations and bringing a team along.
  • Preferred: Vertical SaaS or GovTech experience selling into municipalities.
  • Preferred: International experience with UK, Australia/NZ customers and distributed teams.
  • Preferred: Domain exposure to GIS/geospatial, urban forestry, arboriculture, or adjacent domains.
  • Preferred: Public-sector familiarity with procurement, purchase orders, Net-30 invoicing, and budget-cycle-driven renewals.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with EOS/L10-style operating cadences.

Benefits

  • Company 401(k) with employer match
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • HSA
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Laptop provided and other reimbursable expenses
  • Flexible work hours and supportive, inclusive culture
  • Travel roughly 5-10% for key customers and industry conferences
