Head of Brand and Content

We are hiring a Head of Brand and Content to own our voice on the internet and the video engine behind it: the content strategy, the social brand, and the client stories we put on film. Your audience is specific: successful US founders at seed to Series B, the hottest pre-seeds, and the investors around the world who back them.

Pairs is where founders come to raise capital. We pair them with the right investors from a large, engaged global investor network, then our agents manage the relationships that turn into meetings. It is a two-sided platform, live with paying clients, profitable and self-funded, built by a small, senior, flat team that ships fast.

The role

You own our brand and content from A to Z: what we say, where we say it, and the image founders and investors meet before they ever talk to us. You write the brand yourself, in a premium, restrained register, and you write it to be found: buyers check ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI answers before they ever reply, and what you publish is structured to be quoted there. And you run our video engine. We film the founders and investors we work with, telling their stories in their own words. Shoots have happened, cuts are in post, and a video team is in place. What is missing is the one person who runs it all: books the shoots, preps the guests, directs the day, drives the edits, and ships the cuts, while writing and publishing the daily content around them. This is a strategy, creation, and production seat, not a scheduling seat. You do not need to be technical, you do not need to know paid ads, and you do not edit the footage yourself: design, engineering, and video production are covered, and we train paid. The taste, the voice, and the ability to run the machine are the hire. You report directly to the co-founders, strategize with them, and get real creative freedom.

What you will own

• The content strategy across LinkedIn and X: what we publish, why, and the voice it carries.
• The content itself. You write it and you make it, short form and long form.
• The written brand: copy across the site, the feed, and the newsroom. One voice, premium and restrained, kept consistent everywhere.
• Our presence in AI answers: content structured so ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI cite Pairs when founders and investors research the category.
• The video engine: testimonial and story shoots with founders and investors, from booking and prep to shoot day to the final cuts, with our video team executing to your brief.
• Podcasts and sit-downs with successful founders and investors, from idea to published.
• Growing our audience of founders and investors, measured in reach and inbound, not vanity metrics.

You are a fit if you

• Already live in the startup and VC corner of the internet: on LinkedIn and X daily, following the rounds, the funds, and what is going viral in this space this week, because you genuinely love it.
• Have grown an audience or a brand you can prove: a named account you owned or ran, numbers you know from memory, handles we can open.
• Make the content yourself: hooks, posts, scripts, edits. Creator first, coordinator second.
• Write at a high bar in a restrained register: real copywriting, not just captions, with published work to prove it.
• Have shaped a brand, not just run a feed: voice, look, and consistency across surfaces, with a before and after you can point to.
• Understand how AI answer engines choose what to cite, and write with that reader in mind. Shipped AEO or GEO work is a strong plus, not a gate.
• Have run shoots with real people: booked a busy founder or executive, prepped them, made them comfortable on camera, and carried the edit through multiple cuts to something you can show us.
• Give edit notes a video team can act on, and keep post-production moving without being chased.
• Can take one piece that outperformed and explain exactly why it worked, and one that flopped and what you changed.
• Are early in your career, roughly two to five years in, hungry, and extremely online.
• Bonus: a personal following among founders or investors, podcast or newsletter production, on-camera comfort, technical SEO.

What we offer

Our audience lives in US Eastern time; that is when this audience is online. Fully remote and async. Your day overlaps with US Eastern time for a few hours, not full US hours. The best AI tooling, paid (Claude Code, Cursor, top models).
