What you'll do

  • Own the mindset, energy, and well-being of the team.
  • Run structured, effective 1:1s and annual reviews to support each person's growth.
  • Define clear objectives and expectations for every team member, aligned with their career path and Filigran's goals.
  • Maintain full visibility on all ongoing tasks and their progress at all times.
  • Be accountable for ETAs, anticipate blockers, surface risks early, and keep delivery on track.
  • Actively challenge Product on definitions, priorities, timing, and roadmap trade-offs.
  • Write, review, and merge code daily.
  • Deliver meaningful PR reviews that elevate code quality and help teammates grow.
  • Own technical deliverables end-to-end alongside the team, from design and architecture to implementation.
  • Report to the Director of Engineering and work closely with other Engineering Managers to align practices and support the Software Engineering Team globally.
  • Work closely with Product Management and Senior Engineers to plan correctly and ensure the correct pace of the software team.
  • Mentor and guide the team in their career path.

What they require

  • 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with strong technical skills and a solid background in backend development.
  • 3+ years of experience in team management.
  • Preferred: Team management experience in a start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Experience or interest in working with Python.
  • Experience building distributed systems or integration platforms, with a good understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and third-party ecosystem connectivity.
  • Strong interest in AI and its applications in cybersecurity.
  • Comfortable working with and leveraging AI-powered tools such as LLMs, automation, and copilots to improve workflows and productivity.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, async-first environment.
  • Autonomy, ownership, and team spirit.
