What you'll do

  • Design, configure, and develop solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Guidewire and third-party systems including billing providers, document management, reinsurance platforms, and external data services.
  • Develop and extend Guidewire using Gosu scripting, configuration, and product model customization.
  • Support Guidewire Cloud Platform deployments including environment management, pipeline configuration, and cloud-specific architecture considerations.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and solution architects to translate requirements into Guidewire configurations and custom development.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation in line with Guidewire best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects across configuration, integration, and data layers.
  • Support data migration activities including mapping, validation, and transformation logic.
  • Contribute to upgrade and patch activities, assessing impact and managing regression risk.
  • Work alongside client technical teams to enable knowledge transfer and build internal capability.

What they require

  • 3+ years of hands-on Guidewire development or implementation experience.
  • Proficiency in Gosu scripting and Guidewire configuration and product model development.
  • Experience with at least one of: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter in a live implementation or upgrade.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns including REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.
  • Ability to read and contribute to technical design documentation and solution architecture.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in client-facing delivery teams.
  • Preferred: Guidewire certification at Associate or Professional level — PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, Cloud, or Integration.
  • Preferred: Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform deployments and cloud-native architecture.
  • Preferred: Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms in the context of Guidewire or insurance system hosting.
  • Preferred: Understanding of P&C insurance operations — policy lifecycle, claims handling, billing processes.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting data migration, system upgrades, or version-to-version conversions.
  • Platform depth — confident, hands-on Guidewire development across configuration, integration, and custom code.
  • Insurance literacy — understanding the business context behind the systems being built.
  • Integration thinking — designing and implementing clean, maintainable connections between Guidewire and the broader technology ecosystem.
  • Delivery discipline — producing quality, well-documented work within structured project timelines.
  • Collaborative problem solving — working across BA, architecture, QA, and client teams to drive solutions forward.
  • Adaptability — navigating version differences, client-specific customizations, and evolving platform standards.
