Position Summary: The PDGA seeks a talented and versatile Graphic Design Coordinator to produce creative assets supporting marketing, advertising, and branding efforts, and other organizational initiatives. This person will create assets for various PDGA programs and properties across digital, print, email, social media, and on-course channels, while collaborating with Marketing, Media, and other cross functional teams. While graphic design and production are the primary focus, the role may also contribute to photography, videography, digital content creation, and on-site event support as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
Design, revise, and produce creative assets supporting membership, marketing, media, events, and other organizational initiatives from initial direction through final production
Prepare, proof, and deliver production-ready creative files across digital and print applications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to technical specifications
Work closely with the Marketing, Media, and Membership teams to support a rich content calendar that promotes the association, PDGA membership, disc golf, and various PDGA properties
Create engaging graphics for social media and other digital platforms, with opportunities to assist with photography, videography, motion design, copywriting, and short-form content as needed to increase audience engagement, brand awareness, and more
Design and produce on-course assets and other printed materials
Assist in the conceptualization and production of creative campaigns, player experiences, brand activations, and other unique content opportunities that enhance the member experience and generate engagement
Collaborate with internal departments, sponsors, media partners, and vendors to execute creative deliverables supporting events, membership, and organizational objectives
Assist teammates with a multitude of projects, including multimedia projects, PDGA.com, branding initiatives, digital projects, and other departmental needs
Participate in creative planning and brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas for content, campaign concepts, promotions, and other marketing initiatives
Provide creative support for PDGA Majors and other events, including event coverage graphics, creation of promotional materials, sponsor asset coordination, and other event-related needs, with occasional on-site support as needed
Assist in developing and maintaining branded templates, creative asset libraries, and other design resources to support consistent and efficient creative production across the organization
Essential Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in relevant positions
Experience in graphic design/arts, digital media/marketing, and communications
A portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design fundamentals, including typography, layout, composition, visual hierarchy and attention to detail
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro, or other similar tools are a plus
Experience designing for both digital and print applications, with an understanding of file preparation and production ready requirements
Ability to interpret creative direction and brand standards and successfully translate them into polished and consistent creative work
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment
Ability to receive and apply creative feedback constructively, and collaborate effectively with others
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with staff, members, volunteers, external partners and event spectators
Ability to approach challenges, problem-solve and navigate differing perspectives collaboratively and professionally
Awareness of current graphic design trends, tools, techniques, and best practices with an interest in continued learning and professional growth
Additional experience in photography, videography, motion design, digital content production, illustration or content management systems is a plus.
Experience supporting engaging content strategies and calendars.
Ensure that brand standards are met and that the quality of content is consistent across all platforms.
Desired Qualifications:
Passion for or familiarity with the sport of disc golf
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, Media, or other related field from four-year college or university; one to two years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to adapt and repurpose creative concepts and assets across multiple formats, platforms, and channels
Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable learning new skills, tools, and processes
Experience working with project management tools, such as Jira, Monday.com, and similar platforms
Other Requirements:
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and maintain reliable internet connectivity
A portfolio demonstrating relevant design work must be submitted with a cover letter and resume
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends in support of events and organizational needs
Some expenses-paid travel may be required Must be eligible to work in the US
