Job Description Summary Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors. 2nd line manager with senior leaders and professionals as direct reports. Has ability to attract and retain talent. Often manages medium to large teams. Developing expertise within function. Growing reputation within the organization. Includes roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization. May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in quality, mechanical, electrical, industrial, operations or other equivalent discipline (a must for candidates in Hungary) Extensive proven experience in Quality/Materials/Operations across plants or business units. Evidence of knowledge of the Quality Sciences -APQP, Problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, PDCA. Some previous leadership experience in management, supervision or project/program leadership. Ability to read engineering prints and drawings. Proven lean experience, Several years of plant experience in Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, or Procurement. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Proven experience with Gas Turbine and/or Capital Equipment (Engineering and Manufacturing) Fluency in English language in writing and speaking Willingness and ability to travel for business up to 50% of working time.
