ABOUT REMO
Remo is redefining dementia care by putting both the patient and the caregiver at the center of the journey. We do not just treat a diagnosis; we support a relationship. We orient our care around the patient and caregiver who are already navigating this journey together. We’ve replaced the traditional, fragmented approach with a virtual clinic that delivers personalized, expert-led care plans tailored to the specific needs of patients and families. By delivering high quality clinical care, connecting a supportive caregiver community, and providing 24/7 access to digital tools, we ensure no one has to navigate dementia alone. Our mission is to make high-quality, comprehensive dementia care accessible to every family, everywhere.
ABOUT THE ROLE
“Remo Medical Group, P.A., the affiliated medical practice of Remo Health ("Remo"), is hiring a remote physician (MD or DO).
We are seeking a dementia subspecialist physician dedicated to the assessment, comprehensive diagnosis, and longitudinal care of patients living with dementia. This role operates within an Interdisciplinary Team framework, requiring specific expertise in dyad care - supporting both the patient and their caregiver - alongside our robust longitudinal care navigation model of care that aligns clinical decisions with What Matters Most to the family.
We are looking for a physician leader who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is excited about operating at the intersection of medicine and technology. As a Geriatrician, you will evaluate and manage a panel of patients with cognitive disorders and their caregivers (dyads) as well as lead members of the interdisciplinary team including Neurologists, Geriatricians, Care Navigators, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Pharmacists. You will report directly to our Medical Director and work closely with them on hiring and training new providers as we expand to new markets. Remo physicians help to continually define how our organization serves patients, families, and clinicians and work cross-functionally to ensure that our processes and tools are built to support individuals living with dementia and their family caregivers.
What You’ll Be Doing
Care Delivery:
- Lead, supervise and mentor multidisciplinary care team members to deliver high value, empathetic patient care.
- Stay current with the latest research and advances in dementia care and translate this knowledge to the team to ensure the highest possible quality of care (e.g., pathways for screening and addressing needs around social determinants of health, fall risk assessment and intervention, approaches to high risk medications, etc.).
- Collaborate and provide necessary oversight of the interdisciplinary team by staffing questions that arise requiring geriatric expertise.
Clinical Practice and Operations
- Identify areas of improvements in the care model and technical platform so we can continue to improve quality of care, dyad satisfaction, and the provider experience.
- Contribute to our program evaluation framework by identifying metrics that matter most for dyad outcomes, clinician satisfaction, and care model improvement. Spearhead population health initiatives and aggressively refine care models based on real-world evidence and emerging clinical best practices.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinical Operations function to deliver on our key clinical KPIs, e.g., quality targets, utilization metrics, patient/provider satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop, implement, and maintain a curriculum of regular educational opportunities for clinical providers, e.g., clinical case conferences and guest lecturers.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work in cross-functional teams, translating Remo’s high-touch care philosophy into functional clinical requirements that guide the development of internal tools and patient-facing interfaces.
- Alongside the clinical team, provide rigorous clinical validation for new features, ensuring every technical iteration enhances the dyad relationship and adheres to the highest medical standards.
