What you'll do

  • Monitor and coordinate external logistics network (freight forwarding, 3PL/warehouse, couriers) ensuring day-to-day execution across shipping and fulfilment.
  • Lead and participate in meetings with 3PL warehouses, freight forwarders, and factories.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand based on sales trends, and proactively flag stock risks.
  • Liaise directly with factories and suppliers, proactively calling to chase production, shipments, and delays.
  • Track shipments via parcel/logistics tracking services, troubleshoot issues, and escalate in real time when at risk.
  • Apply working understanding of import/export and customs clearance processes.
  • Directly manage the customer service team and perform regular spot-checks of the inbox.
  • Prioritise, delegate, and track tasks using a task management platform (e.g. ClickUp).
  • Own bespoke ad hoc tasks delegated by the founders, completing or delegating and following through.
  • Take an active role in hiring as the team grows, including screening and interviewing.
  • Own AI integration across the business: build automations, integrations and connectors to streamline reporting and workflows.
  • Use AI tools independently to research and solve problems before escalating.
  • Proactively own and evolve customer service SOPs to improve satisfaction and reduce complaints.
  • Build and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the business with consistent formatting.
  • Attend marketing meetings and translate marketing activity into operational impact (demand, inventory)._
  • Set and run meetings with suppliers, 3PLs, consultants and other stakeholders; hold suppliers/agencies accountable.
  • Own product catalog/listing management and keep site content current and accurate.
  • Flag CRO and UX performance issues and work with specialists to fix them.
  • Support retail/wholesale outreach: negotiate with potential retailers, draft contracts for founder approval.
  • Identify and pursue bulk purchase opportunities and partnerships outreach.
  • Analyse performance metrics and KPIs and turn them into actionable recommendations.
  • Run regular inventory audits with the warehouse/3PL and manage inventory reporting and invoicing.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third‑party platform integrations across the tech stack.
  • Measure consultant/agency performance against KPIs and participate in reviews.
  • Build and mentor team members as the team grows.

What they require

  • Solid experience in operations management, general management, logistics, or inventory management — ideally including international logistics/import-export exposure.
  • Background across a variety of roles with ability to step up into a broad, senior generalist position.
  • Experience working remotely for an international/offshore employer is highly regarded.
  • Experience across D2C and B2B channels is attractive.
  • Prior B2B sales experience (negotiating/closing large/bulk orders) is attractive.
  • Direct experience managing international incoming stock, product, and freight with ownership of timelines from origin through to delivery.
  • Experience with local demand profiling and stock forecasting and planning across long manufacture-to-arrival lead times.
  • Critical: genuine hands-on ability to integrate AI into everyday operations and build automations/integrations (e.g. with Gemini and Claude).
  • Fluency in Google Workspace.
  • Demonstrated people management, team leadership and delegation experience.
  • Project/task management ownership and comfortable running team workflow through a platform such as ClickUp or similar.
  • Strong e-commerce fluency and hands-on experience operating on e-commerce sales platforms.
  • General understanding of customs clearance and import/export terminology.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) and basic bookkeeping (P&L, expenses, margins).
  • Microsoft 365 experience.
  • Comfortable and confident on the phone and able to proactively call suppliers and partners.
  • Highly proactive self-starter able to operate with autonomy and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and ability to work across a broad varied workload.
  • Genuinely comfortable with continuous learning and adapting to new software and tools.
