What you'll do

  • Advise the business on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the UK.
  • Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including publishing, licensing, IP, SaaS, procurement and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with business leaders by identifying legal risks, providing pragmatic recommendations and supporting informed business decisions.
  • Support cross-border legal projects, corporate governance and international compliance.
  • Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, licensing and IP protection.
  • Drive GDPR compliance, privacy governance, data processing agreements and cross-border data transfers.
  • Continuously improve contract management, legal documentation standards and legal operations.
  • Support statutory audits, due diligence projects and regulatory reviews.
  • Introduce AI-powered legal workflows and automation for contract drafting, legal research, document review, compliance monitoring and knowledge management.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors across different jurisdictions.

What they require

  • Extensive experience as a senior in-house legal counsel or general counsel in an international company.
  • Proven in-house legal experience in the game development industry.
  • Broad international legal experience across multiple jurisdictions, with strong expertise in UK corporate and commercial law.
  • Strong experience with commercial contracts, licensing and intellectual property.
  • Ability to quickly navigate unfamiliar jurisdictions by working effectively with external counsel when needed.
  • Business-oriented mindset — you can clearly communicate legal risks while understanding that business leaders make the final decisions.
  • Strong ownership and willingness to take responsibility beyond a narrow area of expertise.
  • Passion for improving legal processes through AI and modern legal technologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Fluency in both English and Russian would be considered an advantage.
