Freelance videographer in South Africa for project-based shoots. Needs a strong showreel, a clear specialty, own gear/tools, and ability to travel to shoots, events, or offices as briefs require.
About the role
Sourcefin is a leading South African alternative funding provider for SMMEs — the business that turns awareness into access for entrepreneurs who don’t yet know alternative funding exists. We’re hiring freelance videographers to work with us on an ongoing, project-by-project basis as we scale our video content.
What you’ll work on
What you’ll shoot: brand films, customer stories filmed on-site at SMME premises, event and activation coverage, and our video platform The Great Enabler — a monthly filming day producing interviews, solo explainers and a “Think Like a Funder” roundtable, published weekly. Projects are booked and quoted individually; work is regular but scoped per brief.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for videographers with a strong showreel and a clear speciality — whether that’s run-and-gun event coverage, multi-cam studio work, or documentary-style storytelling that puts an SMME owner at ease on their own premises. Tell us what you’re genuinely great at; we book specialists for the right brief rather than generalists for everything.
How to apply
Share a showreel or portfolio link, tell us your specialities and your rates (day, half-day, per-project and hourly), the gear or tools you bring, and where you’re based and how far you’ll travel. Please also record a short 60–90 second video intro — your speciality and the best project you’ve worked on and its outcome. It doesn’t need to be polished; we want to hear how you talk about your work.
