Salary range: up to 85 USD/h (negotiable) Engagement: 0.7 Working Hours: ET Start date: end of September 2026 Project duration: 4 months Requirements Proven experience architecting TypeScript monorepos (Nx or Turborepo) at production scale Deep experience with Next.js and Node.js service design Strong PostgreSQL data modeling experience, ideally with financial or ledger-style data (transactional integrity, auditability, state machines) Hands-on experience designing security and compliance into an architecture — RBAC/MFA, immutable audit trails, data residency/segregation — rather than bolting on controls after the fact Working familiarity with SOC 2 Type II and/or the EU Data Act (or comparable regulatory frameworks), with the ability to translate compliance requirements into concrete architectural decisions Demonstrated ability to design data isolation/segregation architectures for systems that combine sensitive persisted data with AI or third-party processing — this is the single most important skill for the role, and we will test for it directly rather than assume it from a title Nice to have Prior architecture experience in fintech or another regulated domain (healthtech, insurtech, etc.) Cloud-agnostic Infrastructure-as-Code fluency (Terraform or similar) to keep a three-environment setup vendor-neutral Experience working alongside a security-focused PM or compliance function from the Discovery phase onward Benefits In return, we offer: 100% remote, flexible work.
