We have around 500 staff with an intact startup mindset. We have recently raised Series B financing off the back of >70% compound annual growth in Revenue over the last 5 years. Requirements Mission: We are looking for a Finance Transformation Manager to drive the Finance department's digital transformation with two objectives: 1) enhance operational efficiency, by mapping out existing processes and systematically reviewing options to eliminate manual tasks through AI/automation solutions, leveraging capabilities like Claude CoWork, Gemini, Replit and other AI apps 2) expand real time insights and analytical capabilities through restructuring of finance data, expansion of reporting capabilities, and implementation of a new or upgraded financial systems. Outcomes: Outcome 1: Comprehensive Process Audit and Transformation Roadmap Completed a thorough audit of current Finance department processes to identify all manual, inefficient, and high-risk steps, as well as areas where we are not optimizing functionalities available in existing tools Developed a clear 12-month transformation roadmap, prioritizing automation opportunities that leverage AI for maximum impact. Outcome 2: AI/Automation Implementation (Phase 1) Successfully designed and implemented at least two key AI-powered automation solutions (e.g., using Gemini or Claude CoWork) in areas like payroll, financial reconciliation or reporting; reviewed and activated relevant under-utilized functionalities in current systems Achieved a measurable reduction in the targeted processes' cycle time/ time spent by team members and a quantifiable improvement in data accuracy. Outcome 3: Recommendations regarding financial systems set up Analyzed current financial systems set up and reviewed future requirements to support group expansion Explored options to upgrade/ expand current financial system with add-ons vs. switching to a more sophisticated financial suite; provided recommendations. Outcome 4: Strategic Reporting Capabilities Created standardized, automated reporting templates that provide the CFO with real-time, actionable insights for high-level decision-making, leveraging AI Established cross-functional partnerships with the Data, Tech and business teams to ensure key business and financial data is meaningful, well-defined, properly recorded to be leveraged in analysis Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Business, or similar field; 5-10 years total experience; Proven track record in analyzing Finance processes and delivering Finance transformation in a mid-size company environment. Direct experience with Financial / ERP systems and a background in integrating and optimizing financial data flows across multiple platforms. Deep expertise in leveraging AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude CoWork, or similar platforms) and automation technologies to solve complex problems in a Finance context; early AI adopter, knowledgeable of most recent solutions and use cases Expert level in Excel and Powerpoint Behavioural fit is also important at Sleek, and we will be looking for candidates that have a proven track record of embodying the below attributes in their recent roles: Ownership: This shows reliability and helps build trust within the team. Problem Solving : You’ll need to be able to think on your feet as this role requires you to identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues quickly, reducing downtime. You will leverage your strong infrastructure and development skills in post-incident reviews to find the underlying cause of failures and prevent future incidents. Attention to detail: You’ll be managing multiple, complex workstreams from numerous stakeholders. It will be important for you to keep track of everything and notice when information is missing or inconsistent. Excellent listener and clear communicator: We have a variety of nationalities and for many people, English isn’t their first language. For you to excel, you’ll need to be present in your calls and make sure you properly receive and thoughtfully send messages to others in the business. Analytical Mindset: You have a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to dissecting problems. You excel at analysing complex systems and processes to identify weaknesses and inefficiencies, and your ability to evaluate multiple scenarios enables you to devise the best testing strategies. You apply data-driven decisions to enhance testing coverage and performance metrics, ensuring the highest standards of software quality. Collaboration-Driven: You thrive in a cross-functional team environment, working closely with developers, product managers, and operations teams to ensure alignment on requirements and testing goals. You communicate effectively, advocate for quality throughout the development process, and proactively address potential issues before they arise, fostering a culture of shared responsibility for delivering exceptional software. AI-ready and curious : Sleekbooks already utilises AI capabilities, but there are many more applications to be found and incorporated. We want the candidate to be able to identify additional AI-led applications and be able to ascertain the practicalities of those solutions The interview process The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish. Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role. Case study A ~90 minute chat with a Senior Team mate, where they will give you some real-life challenges that this role faces, and will ask for your approach to solving them. Career deep dive A ~60 minute chat with the Hiring Manager. They’ll discuss your last 1-2 roles to understand your experience in more detail. They will also dive into some of your recent work situations to understand how you think and work.
