Electrician with QLD A Grade license and EEHA endorsement (preferred) or restricted electrical qualification. Requires post-apprenticeship experience in a practical engineering environment, preferably field-based. Must have a full driver's license, be proficient in MS Office, and willing to travel extensively with overnight stays. Experience with valves, actuators, and digital control systems is highly regarded.

What you'll do

  • Identify faults, repair, test and modify actuators in the field
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
  • Mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and associated retrofit adaption of components, pedestals and drive shafts
  • Completing accurate and technical site visit reports for each job
  • Carry out customer inductions, medicals and inoculations

What they require

  • Trade qualified
  • QLD Licensed Electrician with EEHA endorsement (EEHA preferred but not essential). Or Electrical engineering background with a QLD restricted electrical qualification
  • Experience post apprenticeship in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field-based role
  • A full valid driver’s license is required
  • Proficient Microsoft Office user i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Confined Space, Working at Heights, and First Aid Competence, or the ability to obtain.
  • Able and willing to travel for work purposes, both locally and interstate.
  • Strong technical experience and/or relevant knowledge of valves, actuators and digital control systems and networks will be highly regarded
  • Good understanding of basic electronics, electrical and fluid power theories
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and utilization of common test and calibration tools.
  • Is focused on delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Easily establishes good relationships with customers and staff; relates well to people at all levels.
  • Has excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently, be self-reliant, socially confident and be able to work as part of a team.
