What you'll do

  • Installing, commissioning, maintenance and repair of sensor-based sorters in TOMRA’s Recycling install base
  • Delivering exceptional customer experiences through top class communication and support using various mediums
  • Optimizing of the sorting systems / process
  • Identifying opportunities to add value to our customers businesses through the introduction of complementary TOMRA products, solutions and services
  • Act as a conduit between our customer base and HQ by providing in market feedback so that we continuously look for opportunities to further delight our customers
  • Install, maintain, and repair TOMRA Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) at customer sites.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and roll-out of new machines across the UK.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues; carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and site contacts; provide professional and friendly service.
  • Travel throughout the region to support customers, with occasional overnight stays when required.
  • Accurately record service activities, machine status, and updates using digital systems and tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and developing technical knowledge.
  • Follow established safety procedures, including TOMRA Safe and LOTO standards.

What they require

  • Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (ONC/HNC or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with good technical understanding (mechanical, electrical and software)
  • Comfortable working with software, systems, and diagnostics tools
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Ideally, you are located within a 60-mile radius of London to ensure efficient regional coverage
  • A curious and solution-oriented mindset, with strong attention to detail
  • A customer-focused approach, with clear and confident communication skills
  • A foundation in electro-mechanical systems, with an interest in learning how to analyse, test, and repair complex equipment
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider, supportive team
  • Flexibility to travel and manage your own schedule in a field-based role
  • Full UK driving licence
