What you'll do

  • Installation, support, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Intuitive products within assigned area of responsibility
  • Ensure service agreements and warranty obligations are met and surpassed
  • Document service activities, maintain records, and provide comprehensive reports
  • Provide technical support to end-users and other Intuitive employees
  • Conduct training sessions at Intuitive facilities, training centers, and hospitals
  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities: inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, recalls, field actions, and upgrades
  • Coordinate and perform system and hardware delivery and installation
  • Follow O.R. protocol and HIPAA standards
  • Manage spare parts inventory, Field Activity Reports, Return Material Authorizations, Expense Reports
  • Maintain Intuitive-provided items (tools, calibrated tool sets, employee vehicles, laptops, iPads, company assets)
  • Support and collaborate with Intuitive teams (Sales, Genesis, etc.) including trade show support and sterile reprocessing training
  • Provide feedback to HQ and participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Complete required training including equipment training and Intuitive Surgical University classes
  • Manage assigned territory: respond to customer needs, maintain install base configurations, establish rapport with customers and support events

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and within travel and expense policy
  • Reside within a reasonable distance, typically within 30 miles, of the assigned territory location or designated area
  • Ability to work a flex shift, second shift, or other shifts as required
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and move wheeled objects up to 1,200 lbs.
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Vendor Credentialing approval for access to operating rooms
  • Compliance with necessary vaccination requirements as mandated by vendor credentialing process
