Founding Federal Affairs Leader to establish Nebius's presence in Washington, D.C.; remote role based in DC. Requires 7–10 years of federal government affairs/Hill/executive branch experience and existing DC relationships. Must be authorized to work in the country of application (US).

What you'll do

  • Build and lead federal engagement and establish Nebius's federal footprint.
  • Develop and execute Nebius's federal policy strategy across AI regulation, trade, energy and infrastructure policy.
  • Build and manage bi-partisan relationships on Capitol Hill and across the executive branch, including relevant committees, agencies, and White House offices.
  • Engage directly in the legislative and regulatory process; track policy developments, assess risk, and develop and execute action plans.
  • Hire and develop staff to build a federal affairs capability, support state-level efforts, and manage relationships with outside lobbying firms; report regularly to senior leadership.

What they require

  • 7 –10 years of federal government affairs, Hill, or executive branch experience, with a track record of building relationships across party lines.
  • Hands-on experience with technology, energy, trade, or national security policy.
  • Experience working in or alongside a fast-moving company or startup environment; comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage outside counsel, trade associations, and coalition partners.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country in which they apply.
