About the job

We are seeking a highly driven Expansion Manager to expand Tether’s growth and presence in Cote d’Ivoire through adoption of its solutions, products and services. The Expansion Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying and executing new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and navigating regulatory landscapes. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams to develop and implement go-to-market strategies in Cote d’Ivoire and across the region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who believes in financial inclusion, digital currencies, and driving innovation in Africa’s financial ecosystem. Frequent local and international travel is required.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record in business development, market expansion, and partnership management. You have:

• A degree in Business, Management, or Finance (MBA preferred).
• Strong analytical skills and experience in setting/monitoring KPIs.
• A proactive, independent, and well-organized approach to work.
• The ability to thrive autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• A history of successfully building and managing strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Partnerships

• Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities in Cote d’Ivoire and in the Francophone region.
• Build strong relationships with partners, customers, and stakeholders.
• Build and manage commercial and strategic partnerships with Ivorian banks, fintechs and large corporates
• Develop pipeline of USDt integration opportunities across the Francophone countries payment ecosystem

Market Strategy & Execution

• Design and implement go-to-market strategies to expand Tether’s products and services.
• Track and analyze KPIs to assess and optimize market strategies.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, threats, and growth opportunities.
• Analyze USDt and fiat flows for data-driven decision-making.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess their business impact.

Stakeholder & Government Engagement

• Manage relationships with regulators, government agencies, and industry bodies.
• Represent the company at key meetings and industry events.

Marketing & Community Engagement

• Support and participate in fintech events, conferences, and meetups to enhance brand visibility.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of the Francophone market, culture, and regulations in blockchain, fintech, finance, remittances, and payments.
• Existing relationships at BCEAO and national central banks across WAEMU
• 7-10 years work experience in cross-border settlements, mobile money, and/or payment infrastructures; telecom or banking experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English and French (native preferred), with a Business, Management, or Finance degree (MBA preferred).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with partners, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in partnerships, KPI monitoring, and business growth.
• Analytical, strategic, and results-driven with problem-solving skills.
• Entrepreneurial background and project management expertise.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments with international travel readiness.
