What you'll do

  • Design and execute proactive sourcing strategies — mapping target companies, talent pools, and diverse leadership communities
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate long-term relationships with passive executive talent
  • Build and maintain robust pipelines ensuring readiness for current searches and succession planning
  • Conduct deep market research and competitive intelligence — talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and competitor org structures
  • Partner with Recruiters and Hiring Leaders as a consultative advisor, calibrating strategy and presenting qualified, diverse slates
  • Develop future candidate pipelines and talent maps and determine optimal job advertising mix
  • Aggregate market and industry data to support compensation negotiation and strategic recruiting methods
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners including agencies, educational institutions and industry networks
  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, EEO and industry standards related to talent management
  • Serve as a Brand Ambassador for Bristol Myers Squibb and engage in industry forums
  • Ensure exceptional candidate and stakeholder experiences while maintaining compliant recruiting practices
  • Partner with Total Rewards, Global Mobility, Legal, Immigration, and Procurement to support executive offer development
  • Collaborate with non-executive recruiting teams to ensure transparency and continuity across sourcing & recruiting efforts

What they require

  • 5-7 years of recruiting experience, with 3 years’ sourcing experience proactively generating candidates focused on senior-level recruiting
  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical/Biotech environment strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize ad hoc market intelligence data to provide information to business strategy level
  • Expert level knowledge in candidate attraction and relationship building
  • Expert level of knowledge of full life cycle recruiting activities including sourcing, screening, and networking
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders at all levels of a highly matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with Centers of Expertise and People Services
  • Strong understanding of technology and experience using talent acquisition systems, including Applicant Tracking and CRM
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and influence others
  • Demonstrated ability to partner, manage and influence virtually
  • Demonstrated ability to work with outsource providers and contractors if necessary
  • Bachelor’s Degree (desired)
  • Consulting skills, impact and influence abilities, strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, planning and organizational skills
