EVP, Managing Director Position Overview The EVP, Managing Director is the senior Account team leader responsible for overseeing BGB Group’s Account Services team and ensuring strong client-agency partnerships. This role provides strategic oversight across assigned accounts while upholding agency business practices, financial standards, and operational excellence. The EVP, Managing Director drives team performance and development, quality execution, client satisfaction, and agency growth. This leader must bring a proven track record of success at the SVP/EVP level, with demonstrated experience onboarding, training, and coaching Account team members. The ideal candidate brings a growth mindset and a strong record of building and scaling business through client expansion, new engagements, and strategic partnerships. Role Requirements: Leadership Expertise: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Account Services department Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to develop, implement, and assess strategic plans that align with client objectives and agency goals Client Relationship Management: Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of agency financial practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with a track record of achieving financial targets Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both internal teams and external clients Coaching and Development: Experience in mentoring and developing team members, with a focus on enhancing skills and career growth within the organization Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing client needs and market dynamics Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape, including trends, challenges, and regulatory considerations relevant to pharmaceutical communications Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-related tools and technologies that enhance account management processes and improve client service delivery Preferred Qualifications: 20+ years of progressive account management experience in advertising and promotions, medical communications, or client-side product management. HCP promotions experience is preferred At least 10-15 years of experience managing direct reports Experience across multiple products, therapeutic categories, and client companies Bachelor’s degree Candidates must be located in the Tri-State area and willing to travel as needed to support client relationships. Salary Range: $270,000 - $320,000 + variable incentive compensation BGB Group is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
