What you'll do

  • Align technology solutions with business strategies
  • Proactively identify opportunities to apply technologies to business processes
  • Inform and advise customers on information system technologies' functionality, costs, benefits, and implementation requirements
  • Function as technical liaison and broker of services with various vendors
  • Act as internal consultant providing technical guidance or business process expertise on complex projects
  • Research strategic planning matters from a technical or business standpoint
  • Develop and maintain credibility and effective working relations with customer management and IT personnel

What they require

  • Associate's degree (or equivalent combination of formal education and experience); Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 2+ years relevant experience in business systems analysis or business unit experience closely working with IT on systems development and implementation
  • Knowledge of the assigned business area's products and processes
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in understandable terms
  • Understanding of project management concepts for planning and implementing multiple projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong written communication skills, including project documentation and technical writing
  • Strong verbal communication skills when interacting with team members, IT teams, end users, and other departments
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with track record in new concept development and complex technical plans
  • Ability to solve problems spanning multiple environments in a business area
  • Understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes
  • Ability to be a team player; flexible, friendly, congenial, and enthusiastic
  • Upon hiring, successful completion of Epic's certification program within 6 weeks of taking the last class for the supported application
