Area Manager focused on Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation based in California. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years' experience (or equivalent), must be US citizen or permanent resident and able to pass background and motor vehicle records checks. Will manage ~50 staff, remain billable, lead program delivery, client relationships, and business development.

What you'll do

  • Drives program performance to meet and/or exceed client satisfaction and KPIs.
  • Interacts with business leadership on governance & risk issues; develops and formulates solutions to client problems/issues.
  • Actively shares people management responsibilities for approximately 50 department staff and develops and implements succession plans.
  • Works collaboratively with Client Account Manager(s), Practice Area Leaders, and Business Line Leadership to grow profitable backlog and lead capture strategies for key pursuits.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for project issues and drives consistent project management practices in alignment with AECOM Project Delivery System (PDS) and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

  • Successful candidates will have to pass a background check and a motor vehicle records check.
  • Must be involved in and execute billable work and manage high-quality client projects.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree; 15 years related experience; California Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer; strong knowledge and track record in the environmental / remediation business inclusive of risk-based strategic asset management and advocacy in multiple state jurisdictions.
