What you'll do

  • Manage, perform, coordinate, and/or monitor Steam Power site activities.
  • Perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of systems and equipment.
  • Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services.
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance.
  • Prepare technical reports, order materials, secure quotations, prepare job status reports, and perform related administrative functions.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university with a 3.0 or higher GPA; or a High School Diploma / GED with 4+ years of experience in a Field Services or power generation equipment maintenance role.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
  • Continuous employment dependent on successful completion of formal training provided by General Electric.
  • Employment contingent upon acceptable results of pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • For U.S.-based hires: must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
