What you'll do

  • Create, schedule and publish content and campaigns across multiple social media channels
  • Deliver regular analysis and reporting on social media metrics, content performance and campaign results
  • Support growth and nurturing of Canonical’s social media audiences and increase engagement
  • Create messaging and assets aligned with the brand that drive audiences toward action
  • Execute A/B and multivariate growth tests
  • Moderate platforms and communities and engage directly with audiences
  • Create awareness for integrated campaigns, product launches, webinars, industry announcements and core content
  • Package Canonical product offerings and educational material creatively

What they require

  • Experience managing social media platforms for tech brands, a content team, or a marketing agency
  • Passion for technology, technology marketing, and the use of technology in marketing
  • Proficiency with at least four social media platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Reddit
  • Analytical eye and sense for content performance by platform and objective
  • Experience with educational content funnels and using video as a core social media marketing asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across diverse cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong content marketer
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
  • Willing and able to meet in person 2-4 times a year at internal company events lasting 1-2 weeks
