What you'll do

  • Translate complex business problems into pragmatic, scalable technical architectures.
  • Design solutions that span Salesforce, enterprise data platforms, AI, integrations, APIs, cloud technologies, and custom applications.
  • Evaluate existing client technology ecosystems and determine how platforms and capabilities should work together.
  • Make thoughtful architecture decisions based on business outcomes rather than defaulting to a particular technology or platform.
  • Define integration, data, application, security, and platform architecture patterns.
  • Balance near-term delivery needs with long-term scalability, maintainability, security, and technical strategy.
  • Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous situations where the path forward is not immediately obvious.
  • Break complex technical challenges into manageable components and define pragmatic paths to resolution.
  • Diagnose and resolve architecture, integration, data, performance, and application challenges across technologies.
  • Quickly learn unfamiliar systems, platforms, and technologies when needed to solve complex client problems.
  • Identify technical risks, constraints, and dependencies early and develop practical strategies to address them.
  • Prototype solutions, build technical spikes, and validate architectural approaches before committing to large-scale implementation.
  • Work directly with APIs, integrations, data models, platform configuration and development, AI services, and custom applications.
  • Review code, configurations, integration designs, data models, and technical implementations to ensure quality and architectural alignment.
  • Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges when needed.
  • Help teams translate architecture and design decisions into working, production-ready solutions.
  • Establish the technical vision, architecture, and guiding principles for complex, multi-capability programs while remaining closely connected to delivery.
  • Partner with engineers, data and AI teams, designers, product owners, architects, and client stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Enable teams to make sound technical decisions independently while providing guidance on critical architecture decisions and trade-offs.
  • Establish reusable architecture patterns, standards, accelerators, and engineering best practices that improve consistency and delivery effectiveness.
  • Mentor architects and senior engineers and help raise the technical bar across HIKE2.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to executive and senior technology leaders.
  • Lead architecture discussions and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Help clients evaluate technology choices, architectural approaches, and trade-offs across platforms and capabilities.
  • Connect technology decisions to business outcomes, operating models, transformation objectives, and long-term technology strategy.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide objective recommendations based on business needs, technical fit, risk, cost, and long-term value.
  • Support technical strategy and solutioning during sales pursuits, discovery efforts, and expansion opportunities.

What they require

  • 12+ years of experience in technology consulting, architecture, engineering, or enterprise application delivery.
  • Significant experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent senior technical leader.
  • Deep expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem, including Agentforce Sales (Sales Cloud), Agentforce Service (Service Cloud), and Experience Cloud; experience with Data 360, Agentforce Marketing (Marketing Cloud), and Salesforce Industry Clouds is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect solutions beyond Salesforce, spanning applications, data, integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, and custom technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration and data architecture, including APIs, middleware, event-driven patterns, data platforms, modeling, governance, and distributed systems.
  • Experience designing and delivering AI and agentic solutions, including generative AI, AI agents, RAG/retrieval patterns, tool orchestration, enterprise AI services, evaluation, observability, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with AI development and delivery tooling, including model APIs, agent frameworks, orchestration, evaluation, and modern AI development platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud architecture, modern application development, and enterprise data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
  • Proven ability to remain technically hands-on while leading architecture across complex, multi-platform enterprise transformation programs.
  • Strong technical problem-solving, client-facing communication, executive presence, and experience mentoring architects and engineers.
  • The strongest Enterprise Technical Architects combine enterprise-level thinking with deep technical capability.
  • They can spend the morning advising a client CTO, whiteboard a solution spanning Salesforce, data, AI, integrations, and cloud with an architecture team, and spend the afternoon working alongside engineers to troubleshoot a difficult API, data flow, or application issue.
  • They are naturally curious, technically resourceful, and comfortable operating beyond the boundaries of any one platform.
  • When they encounter an unfamiliar technology or problem, they learn quickly, ask the right questions, and determine the best path forward.
  • They understand that great architecture is not measured by the complexity of a diagram. It is measured by whether the solution works, scales, can be operated effectively, and delivers the intended business outcome.
  • Outcome-driven, hands-on, pragmatic.
  • Enterprise breadth and depth.
  • Think like an architect. Build like an engineer.
  • Due to the nature of our client work, all applicants must reside in the U.S. and hold US Citizenship to be considered for employment.
  • Hike2 cannot sponsor work authorizations or visas now or in the future.
  • Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, conducted in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
