What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise datacenter server infrastructure across customer-owned and leased facilities.
  • Provide advanced engineering support for Cisco datacenter technologies in both test and production environments.
  • Engineer and maintain Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), Cisco Datacenter Fiber Channel switching, and related infrastructure.
  • Lead complex infrastructure initiatives including security enhancements, IPv6 migration, automation, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders to develop technical strategies, operational procedures, and support documentation.
  • Lead implementation efforts across multiple customer teams to successfully deliver mission objectives.
  • Develop and maintain both high-level architecture and detailed technical design documentation.
  • Support enterprise infrastructure operations by resolving complex technical issues and ensuring platform availability and security.
  • Drive automation initiatives for server deployment, firmware management, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional engineering team.

What they require

  • 15+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale enterprise datacenter environments across multiple locations.
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco Datacenter Fiber Channel switches, Cisco UCS, UCS Central, UCS Manager, Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC), Cisco Intersight, Intersight Managed Mode, and firmware lifecycle management.
  • Extensive experience designing and supporting large, multi-site, multi-vendor enterprise datacenter environments.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure automation, including UCS scripting, server provisioning, configuration management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Knowledge of Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects (6454, 6536, 9801, S9801, and X-Series)
  • Knowledge of Openshift, VMWare, NetApp, and Pure storage
  • Experience leading or overseeing teams supporting enterprise environments through ticketing and operational support systems.
  • Proven experience utilizing modern DevOps methodologies, automated testing, monitoring, and continuous delivery practices.
  • Ability to support frequent deployment and release cycles in complex enterprise environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: Current CCIE Data Center certification.
  • Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting federal or large enterprise customer environments.
  • Preferred: Preferred location in Austin, TX or Cleveland, OH.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as business needs require.
