What you'll do

  • Work with Mirantis customers, Mirantis colleagues, stakeholders, partners, vendors and other resources on improving the customer’s experience
  • Assess and understand the customer’s business strategy, drivers, and constraints
  • Collaborate with the customer to address shortcomings of the current state
  • Employ Mirantis products and experience to transform the existing landscape into a coherent, stable, secure, and future proof platform
  • Present architectures, roadmaps, and rationale to audiences ranging from customer executives to hands-on engineers.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Extensive architecture and engineering experience across infrastructure or platform engineering, including customer-facing architecture or advisory experience
  • A demonstrated ability to think about the enterprise as a whole — connecting technology decisions to business goals — rather than working only at the level of individual systems.
  • Broad, credible fluency across a range of technologies, including: Private cloud platforms including OpenStack, Kubernetes-based container platforms, Multi-cluster management concepts and tooling, Workload requirements, VMware estate modernization, Bare-metal provisioning and physical infrastructure lifecycle, The components of a cloud or container platform and how they fit together.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, primarily within the EU and US.
  • Broad, credible fluency across a range of technologies, including: Private cloud platforms including OpenStack, Kubernetes-based container platforms, Multi-cluster management concepts and tooling, Workload requirements, VMware estate modernization, Bare-metal provisioning and physical infrastructure lifecycle, including data center concepts, The components of a cloud or container platform and how they fit together.
  • At least one area of subject matter expertise (e.g. networking)
  • Strong solution orientation: “Find a way”
  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Go)
  • Strong ability to communicate architecture and rationale to both business and technical audiences in both written and spoken formats
  • Broad, credible fluency across a range of technologies, including: Private cloud platforms including OpenStack, Kubernetes-based container platforms, Multi-cluster management concepts and tooling, Workload requirements, VMware estate modernization — enough understanding of vSphere/VMware environments to advise enterprises on virtualization strategy and migration paths as they modernize toward open platforms., Bare-metal provisioning and physical infrastructure lifecycle, including data center concepts, The components of a cloud or container platform and how they fit together.
