What you'll do

  • Build and evolve the automation server that runs agentic automations reliably and at scale
  • Build the control plane around the automation server, including auditing, visibility, observability, and governance
  • Build reference agents and automations, including reusable examples for code review, CVE remediation, Issue-to-PR, test generation, and broader SDLC workflows
  • Design agent workflows end to end, including tool and API integration, context and memory management, and multi-step orchestration with human-in-the-loop where needed
  • Instrument and evaluate agents by measuring reliability, cost, latency, and outcomes
  • Harden agents into systems teams can depend on
  • Work across Product, the Enterprise team, and Forward-Deployed Engineering to turn what works into durable product capabilities

What they require

  • 5+ years as a software engineer building production systems
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience building AI agents or agentic automations
  • Experience building backend or platform services, including APIs, long-running systems, and the data and observability layers around them
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern developer workflows
  • Fluency with the agentic toolkit, including LLMs, prompt and context design, tool/API integration, MCP, evaluation, and workflow orchestration
  • Outcomes-driven mindset; measures whether agents save engineers time and iterates until they do
  • Preferred: experience with auditing, observability, or governance/control-plane systems
  • Preferred: experience with AI developer tools
  • Preferred: significant open-source contribution
  • Availability for core hours 12–4pm ET / 4–8pm UTC
