What you'll do

  • Own a broad book of Enterprise business from new prospects to growing existing accounts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from discovery and solution alignment through negotiation and close
  • Articulate GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition and align it to customer business outcomes
  • Analyze wins and losses and share lessons learned with account managers, marketing, and technical teams
  • Document and maintain buying criteria, buying processes, next steps, and owners for an evidence-based pipeline
  • Contribute to improving the sales handbook and sales processes
  • Provide account leadership across pre- and post-sales with technical teams and customer success
  • Represent the voice of the customer by contributing product feedback and ideas to the public issue tracker
  • Own the full sales cycle for large and enterprise accounts in the Singapore market, with a focus on financial services
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned to customer business needs and long-term goals
  • Prospect and develop opportunities in named large and strategic accounts
  • Work with strategic channel partners to generate qualified leads and new customers
  • Coordinate pre- and post-sales engagement with solutions architects, customer success, and support teams
  • Provide activity, pipeline, and forecast reporting to sales management
  • Analyze wins and losses and share lessons with account managers, marketing, and technical teams
  • Share customer feedback and product ideas through GitLab’s public issue tracker and internal channels
  • Use consultative selling to uncover business issues and deliver proposals, quotes, and presentations

What they require

  • Proven success in software sales, ideally in an Enterprise market context, managing a varied book of business
  • Ability to guide customers through the full buying journey, including defining buying criteria, mapping buying processes, and driving clear next steps
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management
  • Experience documenting and maintaining accurate pipeline data and account plans based on evidence rather than assumptions
  • Skill in conducting and contributing to win/loss and root cause analyses
  • Proficiency in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions to close opportunities
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software
  • Willingness to travel in line with company policy
  • Fluent German language skills required
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with large, strategic enterprise customers
  • Ideally experience selling into financial services institutions
  • Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and develop new opportunities
  • Ability to grow existing accounts through strong account management
  • Skill in leading pre- and post-sales activities with technical, support, and channel partners
  • Proficiency in consultative selling, account planning, and delivering proposals and presentations
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and forecast reports
  • Ability to contribute to win/loss and root cause analysis
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with sales management, product, marketing, and technical teams
  • Familiarity with software development concepts and tools
