Ghost Story Games is seeking a talented remote Engineering Manager to lead the finalization and polish of dynamic gameplay and narrative systems for the highly anticipated game Judas. This role involves overseeing engineering teams, owning major subsystems, strategic planning, execution, optimization, and mentoring personnel to bring systems to a "shipping-ready" state.

What you'll do

  • Own hardening our systems to shipping quality.
  • Manage engineers to hit a quality and stability bar to help bring Judas to completion.
  • Ensure quality and stability of multiple important game systems– including all aspects of development, maintenance, advocacy and documentation.
  • Mentor internal and external engineers on how to best harden and polish Judas’ various systems.
  • Review and approve milestones for our external console port team and internal/external performance/optimization efforts.

What they require

  • Extensive Unreal Engine 4 experience.
  • Experience with closing down heavily dynamic and/or procedural systems.
  • Experience with streaming, serialization, and procedural content systems.
  • Experience managing internal and external teams.
  • Strong knowledge of C++.
  • Ability to quickly understand existing code and enhance/extend an existing architecture.
  • Experience shipping AAA action and/or FPS games.
