What you'll do
- Research, modelling, and analysis across a range of energy and net zero projects.
- Data analysis (predominantly in Excel).
- Producing high-quality reports and presentations for clients.
- Supporting business development and winning new work, including preparing proposals.
- Providing quality assurance for projects and technical deliverables.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
What they require
- 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a PhD.
- Degree qualified in a STEM subject, or degree in economics/finance with experience applying those skills to decarbonisation/sustainability projects.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding across the energy and environment sectors.
- Strong Excel skills and data visualisation capabilities.
- Independent problem solving and ability to develop structured approaches.
- Ability to efficiently produce high-quality reports and documents.
- Ability to communicate technical outputs to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Desirable: A PhD, or Master’s degree in finance or a relevant technical discipline.
- Desirable: Chartered status or working towards chartership.
- Desirable: Completed project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, APM).
- Desirable: Knowledge and experience of GIS and coding (e.g. Python).
- Desirable: Experience in one or more of district heat networks, carbon accounting, energy system modelling, local area energy planning, or net zero financing.
