What you'll do

  • Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain Canonical technology
  • Elaborate solutions to be proposed to prospective clients
  • Participate in delivery of selected Embedded Linux projects
  • Convey market requirements to internal stakeholders
  • Help develop or refine generic solutions to unlock market potential
  • Act as both customer advocate and trusted advisor to Canonical

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Extensive Linux experience, with Debian or Ubuntu preferred
  • Solid embedded Linux experience or RTOS experience
  • Fluency in at least one of Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust
  • Experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware and embedded software development methodologies
  • Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language
  • For Japan positions, ability to speak and write Japanese at a professional level
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Result-oriented and able to multitask
  • Willing to travel up to 30% for customer meetings, company events and conferences
  • Experience with customer engagements is a plus
